Construction of a new logistics center in Upper Austria

During the construction of a new logistics center for fresh food in Upper Austria, one key challenge was at the center of planning from the very beginning: how can the highest hygiene standards, an unbroken cold chain, and efficient loading processes all be brought together under one roof? This is where our expertise in gate systems and loading technology came into play.

Our task: to equip the building with modern, reliable industrial doors and matching loading stations – perfectly tailored to the specific requirements of food logistics. The goal was to create a solution that ensures energy efficiency, hygiene, and smooth operational processes at every stage.

From the very first planning phase, we worked closely with the client and the logistics design team. The focus was on optimal positioning, airtight sealing, and maximum safety. When it comes to storing and shipping fresh products, every detail counts – from maintaining the required temperature to preventing contamination.

Our engineers developed a customized concept meeting the strict demands of a food storage facility: short transport routes, safe docking procedures, and a clear separation between interior and exterior areas. The result is a loading zone that is not only technically advanced but also designed for maximum hygiene.

For the implementation, we chose high-quality industrial sectional doors with integrated sealing systems. These doors close securely and provide a completely airtight connection between the truck and the building during docking. This ensures that the cold remains where it belongs and that dirt, insects, or warm outside air cannot enter the storage area.

Only after the truck is safely docked can the rear doors be opened – a major advantage in terms of hygiene and energy efficiency. This technology keeps the cold storage temperature stable and minimizes energy loss. The system is long-lasting, low-maintenance, and perfectly suited for continuous daily operation.

The loading stations themselves were designed specifically for use in the food industry. We relied on robust steel structures, hydraulic dock levelers, and impact-resistant sealing systems capable of handling heavy loads. Carefully selected materials and precise workmanship ensure that every component is resistant to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical stress.

This combination of technology and functionality enables an efficient flow of goods. From the manufacturer to the central warehouse and finally to the retail shelves, product quality remains intact.
