At Weglehner, customer-specific solutions are at the heart of everything we do – as demonstrated in this exciting project: our client needed a lifting platform for vehicle loading but imposed a special requirement: in the evening, the hall door must be able to close completely. This requirement is often critical in practice, as an open or obstructed door not only poses safety risks but also leads to energy losses and compromises burglary protection. Standard lift tables permanently protrude into the doorway, preventing the door from closing fully. Therefore, a custom solution was essential—one that delivers full functionality during the day and disappears completely from the door's operating area in the evening, leaving no trace.

Following a detailed on-site inspection by our experienced team, we developed a perfectly tailored solution: a custom-built scissor lift table with extendable platform, precisely matched to the existing pit—entirely “Made by Weglehner.” On-site measurement was essential to ensure the lift table integrates seamlessly into the existing building structure. This eliminated costly modifications to the floor or door system. The entire unit was manufactured in our own workshop, giving us full control over quality, material selection, manufacturing precision, and tolerances. This guarantees not only the highest accuracy in fit but also short delivery times, direct communication throughout the process, and long-term availability of spare parts.

The highlight of this solution is a retractable platform that can be conveniently extended and retracted at the push of a button. During the day, the platform moves into its working position, providing a stable, level, and slip-resistant surface for the safe loading of passenger cars, vans, or light commercial vehicles. The design is engineered to withstand heavy loads while ensuring smooth, low-vibration movement. At the end of the workday, the platform is automatically retracted into the pit at the push of a button. It sinks flush with the floor, leaving a smooth, obstacle-free surface. This allows the hall door to close fully—as usual—without mechanical obstruction, gaps, or warning signs. The process is intuitive, reliable, and requires no manual intervention. Personnel operate the function via a robust control unit that is clearly structured and self-explanatory.
