Hydraulic Transfer Bridge – Dock Leveller

We are pleased to present another technical innovation from our company – a custom-made hydraulic transfer bridge, also known as a dock leveller. This special construction was developed and manufactured in our own workshop specifically to meet the individual requirements of a demanding customer.

The challenge was clear: The customer needed a safe and efficient solution to travel directly between two production halls without taking the long detour across the outdoor area. An existing railway system with track bed blocked the direct route. Our answer: A precise hydraulic dock leveller that comes into play exactly where conventional ramps or fixed bridges reach their limits.

A hydraulic transfer bridge in the form of a dock leveller is a highly flexible, movable ramp system that reliably overcomes obstacles such as tracks, ground elevations, or other structural features. Unlike rigid ramps, it can be hydraulically opened and closed – perfect for dynamic logistics and manufacturing processes in industry.

Our custom construction was planned directly in our facility by our experienced team and precisely adapted to the customer's structural conditions. It now bridges an existing railway track bed and creates a safe, direct connection between the production halls.

The span length is 4,000 mm with a width of 2,500 mm. The load capacity is up to 6,000 kg total weight. The drive is provided by a modern hydraulic system, while the surface is non-slip. The control is electro-hydraulic and enables precise handling.

The bridge is optimally designed for use with forklifts and other material handling equipment. The robust design made of high-strength steel, combined with a non-slip surface and hydraulic precision control, ensures maximum safety and minimal maintenance requirements.

Every project starts with us with a detailed on-site analysis. Together with the customer, the specific requirements were recorded – from the dimensions of the track bed to the load limits and the requirements for ease of operation and safety. Special challenges such as the limited installation space and the existing railway system were carefully considered.

In our modern workshop, the fully assembled dock leveller was then created: All components – hydraulic cylinders, stable steel structure, control elements, and safety devices such as overload protection and emergency lowering – were carefully planned, manufactured, and thoroughly tested by our experienced team. The installation on site took place on schedule and with minimal operational disruption within a few days, with final assembly and commissioning closely coordinated with the customer.
