Our traffic light systems serve as the central interface between the vehicle, loading personnel, and internal transport (e.g. forklift operators). They communicate the current status of the loading operation via unambiguous light signals — with no misunderstandings, radio dropouts, or delays.

Real-Time Status Indication for All Parties Involved

• The truck driver immediately sees whether the dock is released — or if they must wait (Red = Stop, Green = Loading permitted).
• Loading personnel (e.g. forklift operators) receive clear feedback on whether the truck is correctly positioned and secured.
• The system can optionally be integrated into existing controls (e.g. door automation, weighbridges).

Flexible Detection: Two Technology Options for Enhanced Safety

Weglehner offers two intelligent detection variants, depending on your requirements:

1. Vehicle Position Detection
   Using inductive sensors or light barriers, the exact truck position is captured. Only upon correct alignment does the traffic light switch to “Green” — effectively preventing misalignment and resulting damage.
2. Safety Wheel Chock Detection
   An integrated sensor verifies whether the wheel chock has been properly installed. Without confirmed chock placement, the light remains locked — technically enforced safety in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations (e.g. Austrian ArbeitnehmerInnenschutzgesetz, § 3).

Both systems can be combined to achieve a redundant safety level — ideal for high-frequency or particularly high-risk sites.

Customisable External Signals

The optical indicators feature a modular design and can be adapted to your local conditions:

• High-brightness signal units for daylight visibility
• Robust enclosures (IP65/IP67) for outdoor use
• Optional LED lighting in red/green/yellow or additional symbols (e.g. “Wait”, “Loading”, “Emergency Stop Active”)
• Mounting possible on poles, walls, or existing dock structures
