Karl Weglehner had a clear vision: to bring his own technical ideas to life. With his training as a metalworker and valuable experience gained in the industry, he laid the foundation for his self-employment. In 1997, he therefore founded Weglehner Loading Technology - driven by the desire to gain creative freedom.
Initially, Karl Weglehner worked alone in a small workshop on his parents’ farm. With great passion, he developed customized solutions for loading technology. His first project - a specially designed dock leveler - quickly convinced a local freight forwarder, marking the first milestone in his entrepreneurial career. Word of his quality and innovative strength soon spread, and further orders followed.
The early years were marked by challenges: technical obstacles, economic uncertainties, and personal doubts. Yet Karl Weglehner’s motto “There’s a solution for every problem” helped him not only win customers but also attract motivated employees. As demand grew, the company soon moved into a larger production facility - a clear sign of its growth.
Over the years, Weglehner Loading Technology evolved from a one-man operation into an innovative company offering a broad range of services. Yet his life’s work lives on - carried forward by the vision he once had and by those who stood by his side.
Following his father’s death, his son Simon Weglehner took over management of the company. Armed with solid technical expertise, fresh ideas, and a strong team at his side, Simon continues the tradition - with respect for the past and a clear focus on the future. He is committed to further developing his father’s core values - quality, innovation, and dedication - while setting new impulses.
